The New Pershing 9X

A Flying Sports Cruiser

When Aquaholic’s Nick Burnham gets excited about a yacht, you know it has to be special. After watching Nick’s review more than once, it’s not difficult to see why anybody would be revved off the clock about this awesomely gorgeous high-performance sports coupe.

The Pershing 9X looks fast just tied up to the quay. Its sleek profile could easily give an unwitting viewer the idea that a supercar hot shot designer had breathed heavily upon it. And with two MTU diesel engines, with 2,638 horsepower each, thrusting the boat to a top speed of 42kn (and a cruising speed of 38kn), it is certainly no slouch. However, even with the additional knowledge that the boat has a range of 380nm at its cruising speed, we are only scratching the surface of the depth of what this stunner has to offer.

The exquisitely furnished and well-appointed saloon looks far more spacious than you would ever imagine from its side profile. And the deeper we get into the vessel the more it comes across as the gift that just keeps on giving.

The Pershing’s external elegant sports profile and terminal velocity belie just how much space there is on the inside. It’s like a 90-foot, flying boutique hotel that will give any other yacht, of pretty much any size, a run for its money. How can a ninety-foot yacht so lithely gorgeous and furiously fast have so much space on the inside?

This Porsche-like sports cruiser has four cabins for the owner and his family or guests, plus downstairs, another two cabins for the crew, all en-suite, and a well-appointed kitchen and garage for a tender and jetski. What more could you ask for?
